Troubleshooting
What each install error means and how to fix it.
If the install command stops, it tells you why. Here's what each message means:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
run with sudo | The command needs admin rights. Make sure sudo is in it. |
systemd is required | This server doesn't use systemd, so the agent can't run on it. |
unsupported CPU | Only x64 and arm64 servers are supported. |
secret doesn't look like a Zephyrus service account key | The key was cut off or mistyped. Copy the command from the console again. |
service account secret is invalid or revoked | That key no longer works. Create a new one and add the server again. |
this agent ID doesn't belong to that service account | The key and the server don't match. Use the command exactly as the console shows it. |
this machine is already running Zephyrus agent … | The server is already connected as a different agent. Add --force to the end of the command to replace it. |
could not reach Zephyrus | The server can't make outgoing HTTPS connections. Check its firewall or proxy. |
checksum mismatch | The download was corrupted. Run the command again. |
Running the same install command again on the same server is safe. It updates the agent in place.
